Support the Shriver House Museum

The Shriver House Museum, built in 1860, offers a powerful glimpse into civilian life during the Civil War. Through guided tours and special programming, the museum tells the story of the Shriver family and their experience before, during, and after the Battle of Gettysburg.

Each year, the museum welcomes more than 15,000 visitors—many of them students from across the country—who leave with a deeper appreciation for the human side of history. As one of the most historically significant homes in Gettysburg, the Shriver House is also one of the most fragile. Maintaining a structure of this age and significance requires constant care.

Your tax-deductible donation will be invested directly in the ongoing preservation and restoration of the house, ensuring that future generations can continue to learn from its stories and walk in the footsteps of the Shrivers.
