Ms. Hettie’s Quilting Bee: A Sewing Social
October 3 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Calling all quilters: On Saturday, October 3rd at 4:30 pm, the Shriver House Museum is excited to host a Quilting Bee! During the Civil War-era, ladies worked on quilting projects together to save on time, which quickly became a social gathering for sharing information, news, announcements, and local gossip. Join Shriver House tour guide and quilter, Gayle Underwood, for an exclusive opportunity to quilt inside the Shrivers’ 1860 home! All supplies will be provided. Tickets are limited for this intimate quilting experience. Please join us and place your own stitch in this ongoing quilting project!
Tickets are $20/Gettysburg History members and $25/general admission.
