Commanders and Chiefs: Washington, Grant, and Eisenhower

Before they occupied the White House, three American presidents led U.S. armies to victory—commanding troops on the battlefield and making decisions under extraordinary pressure. In this conversation, acclaimed authors Susan Eisenhower and Jeff Shaara explore how wartime command shaped these future presidents, how their lives have been portrayed in books and film, and what their experiences reveal about leadership when the stakes are highest. The moderator for this discussion will be historian Chris Mackowski.

The conversation will be followed by a book signing with the speakers.
